Your neighborhood plumber & heating tech
Fast, friendly plumbing and heating service for homeowners across Southern Maine — from Portland to Kittery. We’re just around the corner, and we treat every home like it’s our own.
Hi, I'm Sonny — your friendly neighborhood plumber.
I’m not a third-generation plumber. I didn’t grow up with wrenches in my hands. I actually started my career as a pharmacist.
Long hours, stressful conditions, and a creeping feeling that this wasn’t the life I wanted pushed me to make a change. With my wife’s support, I went back to trade school. I reached out to the plumber who worked for my landlord, did ride-alongs, and spent three years learning the trade while finishing school. And somewhere along the way, I realized I genuinely loved this work.
I love meeting people. I love being part of a neighborhood. And I love that every single day I get to solve a real problem for someone in my community.
I started Ridgeview in 2024 — named after Ridgeview Lane, the street where my parents live. I want to do the kind of work I'd do for my own family: honest, careful, and done right. My wife and I have called Maine home since 2018, and this community is the whole reason I do what I do.

The reason I do what I do.
My wife and I moved here from Massachusetts in 2018, and we genuinely wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. When I run into a customer at the hardware store or out on the coast, I want to wave — not duck the other direction.
That’s the standard I hold Ridgeview to: show up on time, do honest work, explain what’s going on, and treat your home the way I’d treat my parents’.

Your Neighborhood Plumber
Plumbing questions? We've got answers.
Pretty much everything for homeowners and small businesses — plumbing repairs, fixture upgrades, boiler installation and service, water heater replacement, tankless conversions, mini split cleaning, new gas appliance hookups, sump pumps, new construction, remodels, and seasonal winterization. If you’re not sure whether your job fits, just call or text and we’ll tell you straight.
Yes — 24/7 for heating emergencies. If your boiler goes out or you lose hot water, especially in the colder months, don’t wait until Monday. Call or text us.
For burst or frozen pipes in the winter, we come out for those too. If something has gone sideways and you need help fast, reach out and we’ll let you know how quickly we can get to you.
That’s one of the first things we figure out together when we come out. A few things that typically point toward replacement: the system is 20+ years old, repair costs are stacking up, it’s running inefficiently, or it keeps breaking down.
We’ll give you an honest read on what makes more sense for your situation. We’re not going to push you toward a replacement if a repair is the right call.
No — that’s one thing we don’t offer. Drain cleaning (snaking or hydro-jetting full drain lines) isn’t a service we provide. If that’s what you need, we’ll point you toward someone who can help. We’d rather be upfront than waste your time.
Both. We work primarily with homeowners, but we also do light commercial plumbing for small businesses like restaurants and cafés. If you have a commercial property and aren’t sure if it’s in our wheelhouse, just ask.
Yes — this is a big part of what we do, especially on the coast. If you have a seasonal property that closes down for the winter, we’ll shut it down properly so the pipes don’t freeze and it’s ready to open again in the spring. We also reverse the process in the spring.
A cleaning (also called a tune-up or annual service) is preventive — we clean the unit, run a combustion analysis, and make sure everything is operating safely and efficiently. It’s something we recommend once a year, like an oil change for your car. A repair is when something has actually broken or stopped working. The two sometimes overlap — we might find something during a cleaning that needs to be addressed — but we’ll always tell you what we found and what it means before doing anything extra.
Yes. If you’ve got a project or repair in mind, reach out and we’ll talk through it. For larger jobs, we’ll come out and take a look before putting together a quote.
It depends on the job. Larger projects — like a boiler replacement or a remodel — are typically quoted as a flat rate or priced per fixture. Smaller jobs can go either way: flat rate if it’s a standard repair, or time plus materials if it’s more open-ended.
We’ll always be upfront about how a job will be priced before we start.
No — and here’s why: plumbing and heating work varies too much for a price list to be meaningful or fair. Two water heater replacements can be completely different jobs depending on what’s there, what you want, and what the space requires. A number on a website would either be too high or set the wrong expectations. We’d rather give you an accurate quote for your actual situation.
We’re competitive — and we think the value holds up. You’re not paying for a big company’s overhead or a salesperson’s commission. What you are getting is honest pricing, quality parts, and someone who actually stands behind the work. We’re probably not going to be the cheapest quote you find, but we’re not going to nickel-and-dime you either.
We serve the Southern Maine coast from Portland down to Kittery, including Wells, Ogunquit, York, and the surrounding towns. We also cover Sanford and the Berwicks. If you’re nearby and not sure if we come to you, just ask — we’ll let you know.
Yes — we’re based in Wells, ME. My wife and I moved here from Massachusetts in 2018 and it’s home. We’re not a regional chain with a local phone number. We actually live and work here.
Call or text us at (207) 251-0994 is the fastest way to reach us. You can also fill out the contact form below and we’ll get back to you the same day. We actually answer — and if we miss you, we call back.
Most of the time, yes. We’re a small team. You’re not going to get a different stranger every visit. We think that matters — it’s part of what makes the relationship work.
Both. We do new construction and remodels for contractors, and we also work directly with homeowners who are managing their own projects.
Either way, the process is the same: we talk through what you need, give you a straight quote, and do the work right.
We explain everything. Honestly, it’s one of the things we hear most from customers — that they appreciated understanding what was actually going on with their home. We’re not going to talk over your head or rush through it. If you have questions, ask. We’d rather you walk away feeling informed.
Absolutely. We don’t turn down small jobs. A dripping faucet, a running toilet, a slow drain on a single fixture — those things are worth fixing, and we’re happy to come out. We’d rather you call than let a small problem become a bigger one.
Yes. Ridgeview Plumbing & Heating is fully licensed and insured in the state of Maine.
We show up. The rest is just plumbing.
Free estimates, honest answers, fast response. Whether you've got a problem right now or want to talk through a project — reach out. We actually answer — and if we miss you, we call back.
